“Hot” dog was right! Zach’s was suffering from a lack of A/C today, I pity the fool working in the kitchen. Zach’s offers a variety of pre-dressed dogs, or buy ’em plain ($3.00) and design your own. Zach’s menu says ” Zach’s Shack Hot Dogs are All beef dogs with a natural casing.” (sic). I… Continue reading Portland – Zach’s Shack
Portland – Espresso Giuseppe / Cardinal Coffee
My friends from Espresso Giuseppe / Cardinal Coffee had their tricked out Espresso van at Mt. Tabor today. So cool. Order coffee from them. Have them for your office party or fest. That’s an order!
Portland – Hot Dog Ernie
Ernie apparently plys his trade at local events, today he was at the Mt Tabor fete, hawking dogs, polish and Louisiana red hots. His dogs were Nathan’s skinless, which he kept in a warm bath, moved to a hotter bath when you ordered, and finished with a slight char. Nothing special, but enjoyable. $3.50.

Under certain circumstances, this might be an option for you – selling off inventory, intellectual property or patents,… Continue reading The Sum of the Parts

Go (farther) West, Young Man
A second “gold rush” opportunity is at hand in China. 70,000 factories have closed as a result of the faltering US economy. Walk through any Wal-Mart in the US and you’ll have an idea of the breadth of the types of factories dependent upon the US economy. Some of these factories are available for outright… Continue reading Go (farther) West, Young Man
How to Find a Business Broker
If the value of your business is under $2 million, you’ll want to use a local business broker, hopefully who has experience in your industry, but whom most certainly will probably maintain a database of local buyers. Hopefully, the broker has gone through the process of pre-qualifying those buyers. So he’ll have a handful of… Continue reading How to Find a Business Broker
