On the shores of suburban Lake Zurich (Chicago) and adjacent to the hoity-toity burb I used to live in, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hackneys.net\/\">Hackney&#8217;s<\/a> is a local &#8220;mini-chain&#8221; of casual dining. Bar and banquet facility, too.<\/p>\n<p>Their story is they have been selling beers and burgers since prohibition.<\/p>\n<p>They are supposed to be so &#8216;famous&#8217; for their burgers, they&#8217;ll even <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tastesofchicago.com\/category\/Hackneys\">ship them<\/a> to you to enjoy at home.<\/p>\n<p>The<a href=\"http:\/\/hackneysonlake.com\/menu\/lake-regular-menu.pdf\"> menu<\/a> contains a half dozen burgers, maybe as many sandwiches, a few salads and entrees. \u00a0It&#8217;s a little spendy, with the top burger tipping fifteen bucks.<\/p>\n<p>Started with their onion rings (straws) which come in three difference sizes, full order, half, or quarter.
