Bambino&#8217;s Beef"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just like in the Pacific Northwest where you\u2019ll see innumerable small restaurants with the word \u201cTeriyaki\u201d on them, in Chicagoland, you\u2019re apt to see countless outlets with the word \u201cBeef\u201d, which is a reference to \u201cItalian Beef\u201d,\u00a0 thin sliced, slow-simmered, seasoned roast beef served on a roll.\u00a0\u00a0 Make it a \u201ccombo\u201d and they add an Italian sausage.\u00a0\u00a0 Usually dressed with your choice of sweet or hot peppers, and the roll is slightly wet from the au jus.\u00a0\u00a0 If you want it \u2018wet\u2019, ask them to dip it.<\/p>\n<p>Bambino\u2019s Beef is one such place in the Northwest suburban community of Cary, an hour plus on the Metra train from downtown.<\/p>\n<p>Bambino\u2019s features all the Chicago favorites, Chicago style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and gyros.\u00a0 The suppliers of the latter in local <a href=\"http:\/\/www.devancofoods.com\/products_retail.html\">Devanco<\/a> foods, which manufacturers gyros, sausage, beef, and burger patties for the trade and retail.<\/p>\n<p>Hot dogs come from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redhotchicago.com\/\">Red Hot Chicago<\/a>, started in 1986 by a grandson of the founder of legendary Chicago hot dog giant \u201cVienna Beef\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Bambino\u2019s uses an all beef skinless dog from Red Hot, which is fairly indistinguishable in taste in texture, in my opinion.\u00a0 I always personally prefer a natural casing dog, with stronger flavoring.<\/p>\n<p>But the beef by Devanco really stands out.\u00a0\u00a0 It\u2019s very flavorful and tender, tho one must acknowledge that although this product generally comes to restaurants pre-cooked, requiring only a warm-up, it\u2019s easy to goof up that process, and many establishments do.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re heading out of Chicago on highway 14, bound for Wisconsin, and feeling a might puckish, stop in Bambino\u2019s for a beef.\u00a0\u00a0 The 10\u201d size will give you enough for a meal and more.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/bambino2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8988\" alt=\"Bambino's Beef Cary Illinois\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/bambino2.png\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/bambino1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8989\" alt=\"Bambino's Beef Cary Illinois\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/bambino1.png\" width=\"306\" height=\"448\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just like in the Pacific Northwest where you\u2019ll see innumerable small restaurants with the word \u201cTeriyaki\u201d on them, in Chicagoland, you\u2019re apt to see countless outlets with the word \u201cBeef\u201d, which is a reference to \u201cItalian Beef\u201d,\u00a0 thin sliced, slow-simmered, seasoned roast beef served on a roll.\u00a0\u00a0 Make it a \u201ccombo\u201d and they add an&hellip;
