{"id":8769,"date":"2013-02-25T04:44:53","date_gmt":"2013-02-25T12:44:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=8769"},"modified":"2013-02-25T04:44:53","modified_gmt":"2013-02-25T12:44:53","slug":"mcdonalds-fish-mcbites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=8769","title":{"rendered":"McDonald&#8217;s Fish McBites"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Couple weeks ago, I wrote a piece about being done with McDonald\u2019s because of my continuing disappointment with their food.\u00a0 Sometimes they get you whether you want them to or not, in being the only place open, the only place around, the only place with unlocked bathrooms (or free wifi).<\/p>\n<p>My kid and I were joking about Fish McBites, and I said I wasn\u2019t brave enough to try them, but we did.\u00a0 They come in three sizes, accompanied by a small ramekin of tartar sauce, not sure if this is a limited time offer or not, possibly, some Lenten tie-in.<\/p>\n<p>They aren\u2019t \u201cbad\u201d per se, they have a stronger fish taste (to me) than the McFishawicheroo, and the tartar appears the same as the sandwich.\u00a0 My particular order (and this was out in the middle of nowhere\u2026no idea what state even, Missouri, Arkansas\u2026..weren\u2019t quite \u2018done\u2019 I suspect.\u00a0 Al dente Fish bites.<\/p>\n<p>Interesting to me, as it was the same week Wendy\u2019s asked me to try their new Premium North Pacific Cod sandwich, and I pronounced that the best fish offering in fast food.\u00a0 Why don\u2019t you try both and let us know what you think?\u00a0 The Wendy\u2019s deal is an LTO.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/MCBITES.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8770\" title=\"MCBITES\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/MCBITES.png\" alt=\"Fish McBites Review\" width=\"336\" height=\"377\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Couple weeks ago, I wrote a piece about being done with McDonald\u2019s because of my continuing disappointment with their food.\u00a0 Sometimes they get you whether you want them to or not, in being the only place open, the only place around, the only place with unlocked bathrooms (or free wifi).
