{"id":8313,"date":"2012-11-01T11:52:11","date_gmt":"2012-11-01T18:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=8313"},"modified":"2012-11-01T11:52:11","modified_gmt":"2012-11-01T18:52:11","slug":"aloha-donut-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=8313","title":{"rendered":"Aloha, OR &#8211; Donut Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/donut-day.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-8314\" title=\"donut day\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/donut-day-180x300.png\" alt=\"Donut Day Aloha Oregon\" width=\"180\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Mrs. Burgerdogboy had business in the same hood as this shop the other day, and she swears (alot!) that the donut shop had one of those &#8216;flavor fingers&#8217; we used to see in cartoons beckoning her in.<\/p>\n<p>In the spirit of the season, &#8220;pumpkin&#8221; flavored baked goods were in abundance, and she picked up three glazed pumpkin donuts, and three pumpkin fritters.<\/p>\n<p>Portland isn&#8217;t really a donut (or bagel) town, tho this is starting to change with the plethora of food carts. \u00a0We have a few of the chain bagel stores, but Dunkin&#8217;? \u00a0Nowhere in site.<\/p>\n<p>But all is not loss with the discovery of Donut Day. \u00a0These are good. Really good. \u00a0And baked right there, not at some common commissary hundreds of miles away.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, I shouldn&#8217;t eat them, but we polished the half dozen off in short order. Would have loved to have shown you a pic, but alas, the hand to mouth action was faster than the hand to shutter action.<\/p>\n<p>Go there. Buy. Eat.
