{"id":8274,"date":"2012-10-30T05:00:44","date_gmt":"2012-10-30T12:00:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=8274"},"modified":"2012-10-30T05:00:44","modified_gmt":"2012-10-30T12:00:44","slug":"home-cookin-sneaky-salt-pumpkin-seeds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=8274","title":{"rendered":"Home Cookin&#8217; &#8211; Sneaky Salt Pumpkin Seeds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/sneaky.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-8280\" title=\"sneaky\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/sneaky-150x150.png\" alt=\"Sneaky Salt\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Every year, the kids have to carve pumpkins. \u00a0Not the most fun, but not horrible. \u00a0The upside? \u00a0I&#8217;m the beneficiary of the seeds, a treat I really like.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Burgerdogboy concocted her own recipe this year, using <a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/2012\/06\/product-test-sneaky-salts\/\">Sneaky Salts,<\/a> and the results were superb.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how it unfolded:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Recipe<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Seeds from one large pumpkin<\/p>\n<p>1 c brewed coffee<\/p>\n<p>1 T\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/listing\/99890022\/sriracha-salt-2oz-by-sneaky-salts\">Sneaky Salt Sriracha<\/a> flavor<\/p>\n<p>1 t Olive Oil<\/p>\n<p>Wash the seeds in a colander and remove any remaining pumpkin pulp. \u00a0Shake the colander to remove excess water. \u00a0Pour the cup of coffee over the seeds and shake again to remove excess moisture.<\/p>\n<p>Spread the seeds on a sheet of parchment and place on a baking pan and sprinkle with the olive oil. \u00a0Preheat oven to 450, and bake the seeds for 15 minutes, stirring every five minutes. \u00a0Sprinkle the Sneaky Salts to taste.<\/p>\n<p>The result is a fresh, hot, slightly spicy salty snack. \u00a0Delicious!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every year, the kids have to carve pumpkins. \u00a0Not the most fun, but not horrible. \u00a0The upside? \u00a0I&#8217;m the beneficiary of the seeds, a treat I really like.
