{"id":8248,"date":"2012-10-27T22:40:42","date_gmt":"2012-10-28T05:40:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=8248"},"modified":"2012-10-27T22:40:42","modified_gmt":"2012-10-28T05:40:42","slug":"ball-park-beef-patties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=8248","title":{"rendered":"Home Cookin &#8216; &#8211; Ball Park Brand Flame Grilled Beef Patties"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve tested a lot of &#8216;heat and eat&#8217; burger patties at home, from the frozen varieties like\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/2011\/08\/fred-meyer-brand-frozen-mini-cheeseburgers\/\">Fred Meyer Frozen Mini Cheeseburgers<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/2012\/07\/home-cookin-test-private-selection-angus-beef-patties\/\">Private Selection Angus Beef Patties<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/2012\/01\/trader-joe\/\">Trader Joes Kobe Style<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/2010\/01\/taste-test-white-castle-frozen-cheeseburgers\/\">White Castle<\/a>, \u00a0to the convenience store types like\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/2010\/02\/update-big-a-angus-charbroil-was-big-az\/\">Big A Angus Charbroil<\/a>, and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/2010\/01\/taste-test-7-eleven-cheeseburger\/\">7-Eleven Cheeseburger<\/a>,<\/p>\n<p>With the exception of the mini mart burgers, the other patties all come frozen and uncooked. \u00a0 Ball Park Flame Grilled Beef Patties are frozen and fully cooked, and only have to be heated in a microwave, on a skillet or grill.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re a regular reader, you know even if a product calls\u00a0gives a choice of\u00a0being microwaved or some other cooking method, usually I chose to heat on a stove top; tonight was an exception, and I followed the manufacturer&#8217;s instructions for microwaving: \u00a0microwave safe plate, cover patty with a paper towel, heat 60-75 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what the patty looks like right out of the resealable pouch:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/DSCN0486.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-8253 aligncenter\" title=\"DSCN0486\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/DSCN0486-300x290.jpg\" alt=\"Ball Park Flame Grilled Beef Patties\" width=\"259\" height=\"251\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And in nearly less than a minute, &#8220;plated&#8221;, this burger looks like a hand-formed, quality hamburger:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/ball-park.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8255 aligncenter\" title=\"ball park\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/ball-park.png\" alt=\"Ball Park Flame Grilled Beef Patties\" width=\"448\" height=\"285\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was quite surprised at both the taste and texture of this product. I liked it.
