Waitstaff walked around with trays of delicacies, like goat cheese tarts, sirloin on toast, prosciutto melon, and other treats. The cars were nice, too.<\/p>\n<p>We went for a walk, and turned into<a href=\"http:\/\/www.phovanrestaurant.com\/silk\/\"> Silk<\/a>, a Vietnamese bar and restaurant. It was about 8, restaurant was moderately busy, the bar side was not, and we took a table in the bar, ordered a couple drinks and appetizers.<\/p>\n<p>We went with the petite Banh\u00a0Mi, hand-pulled pork, with pickled vegetables, on delicate crispy rolls. \u00a0Added the shrimp ceviche, 3 small servings on Asian soup spoons. \u00a0 Mrs. Burgerdogboy asked for an order of &#8220;Crazy Noodles&#8221;, stir-fried rice noodles with chicken, boc choy, basil, red pepper, and egg, thinking she would keep these for breakfast, but me knowing they wouldn&#8217;t last the nite.<\/p>\n<p>Service was great, the food was superb. \u00a0Two appys, one entree, two glasses of wine, $32.<\/p>\n<p>The menu is full of small plates, &#8220;Vietnamese tapas&#8221; as it were.<\/p>\n<p>Recommended.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/silk1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8058\" title=\"silk1\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/silk1.png\" alt=\"Silk Vietnamese Bar and Restaurant, Portland, OR\" width=\"448\" height=\"268\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/r\/24\/283340\/restaurant\/Pearl-District\/Silk-Portland\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; padding: 0px; width: 200px; height: 146px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/b\/link\/283340\/biglink.gif\" alt=\"Silk on Urbanspoon\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had been to an event sponsored by Klout, a couple hours whereby Chevrolet was shoveling food and drinks at us to talk about their hybrid &#8220;Volt.&#8221; The event was held in the Pearl neighborhood, at a venue called Urban Studio.
