Topped off with mayo, ketchup, and American cheese. \u00a0700 calories and 40 carbs, but lose the bun (would be a shame, but some of us must), and it weighs in at 490 calories and only 4 carbs).<\/p>\n<p>As you probably know, Wendy&#8217;s has moved in to the #2 slot in the US burger hierarchy, and they deserve it, with their new offerings and innvovations.<\/p>\n<p>I liked the burger, tho next time I will skip the ketchup, just not my thing.<\/p>\n<p>Also got to try out the relatively new chili cheese fries, which tops W&#8217;s new natural cut fries (with sea salt) with their traditional meat chili and a gob of shredded cheese.<\/p>\n<p>As far as I know, Wendy&#8217;s is the only national fast food chain offering this. \u00a0Now if we could just persuade them to offer poutine, as well!<\/p>\n<p>I liked the Son of Baconator, and I&#8217;ll have it again. \u00a0The chili cheese fries? \u00a0Big enough to share!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/wendy3.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7849\" title=\"wendy3\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/wendy3.png\" alt=\"Wendy's Chili Cheese Fries\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/r\/24\/284042\/restaurant\/Lloyd-District\/Wendys-Portland\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; padding: 0px; width: 200px; height: 146px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/b\/link\/284042\/biglink.gif\" alt=\"Wendy's on Urbanspoon\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s big (yet smaller), full of bacony and beefy goodness. \u00a0It&#8217;s Wendy&#8217;s &#8220;Son of Baconator&#8221;, a smaller version (on everything except flavor!) of the popular &#8216;big&#8217; baconator launched last year.
