{"id":7225,"date":"2012-04-28T04:43:26","date_gmt":"2012-04-28T11:43:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=7225"},"modified":"2012-04-28T04:43:26","modified_gmt":"2012-04-28T11:43:26","slug":"tukwila-wa-gallianos-cucina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=7225","title":{"rendered":"Tukwila, WA &#8211; Galliano&#8217;s Cucina"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Out with some business colleagues for lunch the other day, this is a regular haunt of said colleagues, close to their office. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallianoscucina.com\/\">Galliano&#8217;s<\/a> \u00a0in the &#8220;fast casual&#8217; category with table service, counter ordering.<\/p>\n<p>They offer a fairly full-line Italian style menu, with sandwiches, pizza, salads, pasta and selected entrees.<\/p>\n<p>A large menu board, replete with misspellings (&#8220;avacado&#8221;, &#8220;muscles&#8221;) is behind the counter, place your order, pay, and in short order, your food will be brought to your table.<\/p>\n<p>Our party of five managed to sample a broad selection of the foods, \u00a0two of us had meatball sandwiches, one a pizza, another the chopped salad.<\/p>\n<p>All of the food was aesthetically and palate pleasing. \u00a0I was one of the meatball sammie guys, something I would ordinarily never order (for no particular reason), and it was delicious. \u00a0 Wedges of flavorful meatballs, red sauce, cheese, \u00a0on a very high quality roll. \u00a0The meatballs were (I am guessing) a blend of veal and pork, with Italian herbs, slight fennel. \u00a0 Side choices were soup, salad, or waffle fries (not sure I have ever had the latter in Italy, but probably a normal add-on for American tastes.)<\/p>\n<p>The colleague immediately to my left went with the small (11&#8243; ) Supreme pizza, and I was drooling over (but not offered any) the obviously hand-pulled Italian sausage, and thin crusts.<\/p>\n<p>Verdict? \u00a0I liked it. \u00a0 I&#8217;m in the area on occasion, and will hog a large pizza for myself next time I am in Tukwila. \u00a0They have a 2nd location near Sea-Tac, as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Galli.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-7227\" title=\"Galli\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Galli.png\" alt=\"Galliano's Cucina, Tukwila Washington\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/r\/1\/1438853\/restaurant\/Seattle\/Galianos-Cucina-Tukwila\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; padding: 0px; width: 200px; height: 146px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/b\/link\/1438853\/biglink.gif\" alt=\"Galianos Cucina on Urbanspoon\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Out with some business colleagues for lunch the other day, this is a regular haunt of said colleagues, close to their office. \u00a0Galliano&#8217;s \u00a0in the &#8220;fast casual&#8217; category with table service, counter ordering.
