{"id":5163,"date":"2011-02-15T11:58:35","date_gmt":"2011-02-15T19:58:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=5163"},"modified":"2011-02-15T11:58:35","modified_gmt":"2011-02-15T19:58:35","slug":"home-cookin-test-foods-pizza-crust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=5163","title":{"rendered":"Home Cookin&#8217; Test &#8211; Whole Foods Pizza Crust"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5165\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5165\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/WF-365.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-5165\" title=\"Whole Foods 365 Brand\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/WF-365-150x150.png\" alt=\"Whole Foods 365 Brand\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5165\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Whole Foods 365 Brand<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mrs. Burgerdogboy wandered thru the Irvington Whole Foods the other day, after a nearby appointment for her work.\u00a0 She picked me up a two-pack (I always make a bad &#8220;Tupac&#8221; pun, just to make her groan) of Whole Food&#8217;s refrigerated Whole Wheat pizza crusts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Being a guy, and not prone to following directions on any package, the first one I made didn&#8217;t turn out as well as expected &#8211; I baked it on the pizza stone, which, with some crusts, ends up having a negative effect, to wit, the stone traps moisture in the dough, re-releases it as steam, and the crust does not get as crispy as the manufacturer probably intended.\u00a0 Nevertheless, the first one had a certain amount of crunch, tantamount to a pizza crust that resembled one made with matzoh cracker dough &#8211; which I did not find terribly unappealing, actually.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The second time around, I followed the instructions to the letter.
