{"id":51,"date":"2009-06-10T09:41:20","date_gmt":"2009-06-10T16:41:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hamburgersaremylife.wordpress.com\/?p=51"},"modified":"2009-06-10T09:41:20","modified_gmt":"2009-06-10T16:41:20","slug":"mckinney-tx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=51","title":{"rendered":"McKinney, TX &#8211; Culvers Butterburger"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I wrote about wishing I could hit a Culver\u2019s a couple weeks ago.\u00a0 Got my chance this week in McKinney, Texas, a suburb of Dallas within spitting distance of Oklahoma.<\/p>\n<p>The sign outside of Culver\u2019s says \u201cHome of the Butterburger\u201d, but the butter has nothing to do with the patty, but rather the fact they butter the buns, before toasting them.\u00a0\u00a0 I don\u2019t know whether it actually makes a difference or not, but the holy two B\u2019s (butter and bacon) make anything better for me.<\/p>\n<p>Culver\u2019s is also known for fresh custard, whatever that is, sounds too healthy for me, and, being a Wisconsin based chain, are in the unique position to offer a side of deep-fried cheese curds.<\/p>\n<p>Hand-formed patty, cooked to order, bakery buns, hot fried cheese curds and a butter burger?\u00a0\u00a0 Heaven on a sliver of wax paper.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-52\" src=\"http:\/\/hamburgersaremylife.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/06\/culvers1.jpg?w=239\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-53\" src=\"http:\/\/hamburgersaremylife.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/06\/culver1.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I wrote about wishing I could hit a Culver\u2019s a couple weeks ago.\u00a0 Got my chance this week in McKinney, Texas, a suburb of Dallas within spitting distance of Oklahoma.
