Oh gleaming hunk of ceramic and tin<\/strong><\/p>\n

Can\u2019t wait for your contents to dribble down my chin<\/strong><\/p>\n

My wife instructed me to write this to thee,<\/strong><\/p>\n

She said \u201cyou may love it even more than me!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cNay,\u201d I said, a thousand times nay,<\/strong><\/p>\n

Love something fashioned from inanimate clay<\/strong><\/p>\n

That sits around and silently performs its task?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Good god woman, do you have to ask?<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

One hour, two hours, three hours pass,<\/strong><\/p>\n

I can peer down on deliciousness, right thru the glass<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bubbling portions of veggies and meat<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just a few more hours for my delicious treat!<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oh automaton of the cooking world<\/strong><\/p>\n

I can\u2019t talk right now, my tongue just curled<\/strong><\/p>\n

My mouth it does squirt, as I wait for the ding<\/strong><\/p>\n

And your heaping mess o good hotness, forth you bring.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have accepted as I have grown older, I can do without<\/strong><\/p>\n

But I\u2019m not talking to you, crock pot, I said with a pout<\/strong><\/p>\n

You and I are forever wed<\/strong><\/p>\n

I wish there was an outlet, next to the bed.<\/strong><\/p>\n
