{"id":3803,"date":"2010-07-16T08:39:18","date_gmt":"2010-07-16T15:39:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=3803"},"modified":"2010-07-16T08:39:18","modified_gmt":"2010-07-16T15:39:18","slug":"duluth-mn-little-angies-cantina-and-grill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=3803","title":{"rendered":"Duluth, MN &#8211; Little Angie&#8217;s Cantina and Grill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/angies3png.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3806\" title=\"Little Angie's Cantina Duluth Restaurants\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/angies3png-300x199.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a>Mickey Paulucci, spawn of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jeno_Paulucci\">Jeno Paulucci<\/a>, self-described &#8220;peddler&#8217; and &#8216;not a nice guy&#8217;,\u00a0 started the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.grandmasrestaurants.com\/retail.htm\"> Grandma&#8217;s<\/a>, restaurant empire over 30 years ago, in<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.superiortrails.com\/duluth_lake-2b.html\"><strong>Canal Park<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Duluth, MN, across the street from his father&#8217;s office.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The original Grandma&#8217;s became known for quality food, ample servings, and fun ambiance, and grew to be a statewide mini-chain, but eventually cutting back to concentrate on opening several other eateries in the hometown Duluth area.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>One of the spin-offs is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grandmasrestaurants.com\/littleangies\/\">Little Angie&#8217;s Cantina and Grill<\/a>, a Tex-Mex outlet within avocado throwing distance of the first Grandma&#8217;s in Canal Park.\u00a0\u00a0 Little Angie&#8217;s puffery says &#8220;Little Angie&#8217;s Cantina is the kind of place where the food is so fresh it&#8217;s still sizzling at your table.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Minnesota Burger Reporter Kawikamedia popped into Little Angie&#8217;s the other day and checked out the Cowboy Burger $7.99, a 1\/3 pound all-beef patty topped with marinated lettuce (wtf?) tomato, mayo, add bacon and cheese for $2.09.  The Cowboy is served on a toasted bun and comes w\/ fries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>He said the burger looks much better than it tastes, overcooked, dry, no seasoning.
