{"id":32,"date":"2009-06-10T08:42:09","date_gmt":"2009-06-10T15:42:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hamburgersaremylife.wordpress.com\/?p=32"},"modified":"2009-06-10T08:42:09","modified_gmt":"2009-06-10T15:42:09","slug":"palatine-il-palatine-inn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=32","title":{"rendered":"Palatine, IL &#8211; Palatine Inn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s not the Billy Goat (someone already posted about), but then nothing in Chicago is.\u00a0\u00a0 But Chicago is full of good burgers, and one of the few, if not only, places I have ever been that serves the \u201cQueen Burger\u201d virtually everywhere. \u00a0\u00a0Too lazy to look up the origin, I am going to take a stab here at saying the Queen Burger is so named because it is covered with a mound of sliced (queen size) green olives,\u00a0 one of my three favorite things in the world to eat.<\/p>\n<p>This one, at the Palatine Inn (not worth seeking out, but worth stopping in\u00a0 if you are nearby, Palatine is a NW suburb about 25 miles out of Chicago), was done perfectly as requested,\u00a0 medium rare, \u00a0served dry, with tomato, lettuce and pickle on the side.\u00a0\u00a0 They will offer you a choice of self-applied condiments.<\/p>\n<p>Bonus?\u00a0\u00a0 Pickle, sure.\u00a0 And?
