{"id":24061,"date":"2020-04-07T12:17:56","date_gmt":"2020-04-07T17:17:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=24061"},"modified":"2020-04-07T12:17:56","modified_gmt":"2020-04-07T17:17:56","slug":"vollwerths-blood-sausage-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=24061","title":{"rendered":"Vollwerths Blood Sausage Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Vollwerths Blood Sausage Review<\/h2>\n<p>Blood sausage is made all over the world with varying protein ingredients, including pork, beef, goat and other meats.\u00a0 The meat is added in different amounts, depending on the region, along with the animals blood and it is allowed to dry or congeal enough to be put into a natural casing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This version is made by YOOPERS!\u00a0 Say what?\u00a0 Yoopers is a nickname for people who live or are from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, which if you haven&#8217;t been there is kind of a world all its own.\u00a0 The manufacturer, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vollwerth.com\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vollwerth<\/a>,\u00a0 has been cranking these and other ring sausages out since 1915, along with links, ground meat hubs, and several canned meat \/ sauce products.<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients in this version include: pork snouts, beef blood, pork, calcium reduced dried skim milk, salt, flavorings, dextrose, sodium nitrite. Oink.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see from the pic at the right &#8211;&gt;&gt;&gt; the consistency is crumbly, much like (Mexican) chorizo or the Cajun sausage boudin.
