{"id":17194,"date":"2017-06-27T10:38:22","date_gmt":"2017-06-27T15:38:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=17194"},"modified":"2017-06-27T10:38:22","modified_gmt":"2017-06-27T15:38:22","slug":"butcher-on-the-block-review-east-dundee-il","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=17194","title":{"rendered":"Butcher on the Block Review &#8211; East Dundee, IL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/1-20170624_130255.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-17197\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-17197\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/1-20170624_130255-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"Butcher on the Block Review\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Open since 2000, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.butcherontheblock.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Butcher on the Block<\/a> is a butcher and deli on West Algonquin Road in Lake in the Hills, IL.<\/p>\n<p>This review isn&#8217;t about that operation tho, but rather their new food outlet at 112 Railroad Street in East Dundee, IL.<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;ve taken over the food concession offered by the city, and are housed in a restored caboose, off the street.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">They offer a<a href=\"http:\/\/www.butcherontheblock.com\/menu.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> full menu<\/a> of &#8220;Chicago-fare,&#8221; \u00a0burgers, hot dogs, Italian beef, with an emphasis on quality ingredients from local sources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I went for the 1\/3 pound burger (which is two patties) topped with smoked Gouda, plus lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. They offer a &#8220;signature sauce,&#8221; but I passed on that.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A combo, including a drink and fries or tots went for $8.95. Burger alone is $5.95. The menu touts the burgers as &#8220;grass fed sirloin,&#8221; and I have no reason to doubt the claim.
