Let&#8217;s pause, shall we?<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/S-rB0pHI9fU\" width=\"360\" height=\"215\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pennyroadpub.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Penny Lane Pub<\/a> is a modestly sized bar and grill with daily specials, live music on weekends, and open til 3 AM. \u00a0They have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pennyroadpub.com\/menu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">good bar menu<\/a> with pizza, sandwiches, wings, tacos, and of course burgers.<\/p>\n<p>I went with the &#8220;Olive Burger&#8221; which is kind of a thing in the Chicago area, a burger patty topped with sliced green or black olives. \u00a0On some menus, it&#8217;s called a &#8220;Queen Burger,&#8221; \u00a0and I&#8217;ve never been able to find out how it came into being. \u00a0It was right up there in the mighty fine category, as were the fresh cut fries. \u00a0Great beef taste, ample sized, bun substantial enough to hold all manner of toppings. Delish.<\/p>\n<p>Penny Lane obviously buys quality ingredients, and fresh, attractive produce. \u00a0The kitchen again, obviously, takes pride in their presentation.<\/p>\n<p>Despite its location in Barrington, one of the poshest Chicago suburbs, I found the prices to be very modest.
