This week, in the refrigerated dressing section, they had Marie&#8217;s Chunky Blue Cheese, so i picked up a jar. \u00a0It&#8217;s very creamy with great blue cheese flavor, but I found the label boast of &#8220;chunky&#8221; a bit amiss. \u00a0I stirred and fished, but any bulk pieces of cheese could be described as &#8220;bits&#8221; not &#8220;chunks&#8221; and not so plentiful. \u00a0Marie&#8217;s is owned by Ventura foods, which is a joint venture of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chsinc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CHS, a diversified cooperative<\/a> ag \/energy company with 77,000 member\/owners, based in suburban St. Paul, MN, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mitsui.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mitsui<\/a>, a major Japanese industrialist.<\/p>\n<p>Marie&#8217;s is a good alternate dressing for me when I am leaning towards &#8220;creamy,&#8221; but as for chunky blue, I&#8217;ll stick with <a href=\"http:\/\/litehousefoods.com\/products\/big-bleu-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Litehouse brand&#8217;s Big Bleu,<\/a> with plenty of good sized chunks of cheese in the dressing.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"\u201c\u201c\u201cresults&quot;&quot;&quot;\">Ingredients: <em>\u00a0SOYBEAN OIL, CULTURED NONFAT BUTTERMILK, BLUE CHEESE (PASTEURIZED MILK, CHEESE CULTURE, SALT, ENZYMES), SOUR CREAM (CULTURED NONFAT MILK, CREAM), WHOLE EGG, DISTILLED VINEGAR, EGG YOLKS, CONTAINS LESS THAN 2% OF SPICE, GARLIC*, SALT, MUSTARD BRAN, XANTHAN GUM. *DEHYDRATED\u00a0<\/em><\/span><em>Contains: MILK, EGG<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Maries Salad Dressing Review<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I admit to being a salad dressing snob, preferring the very premium brands. \u00a0Eh? \u00a0You&#8217;re saying you don&#8217;t believe BurgerDogBoy eats salad? \u00a0Well, sure, on occasion.
