{"id":13687,"date":"2015-03-08T08:22:36","date_gmt":"2015-03-08T13:22:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=13687"},"modified":"2015-03-08T08:22:36","modified_gmt":"2015-03-08T13:22:36","slug":"epic-burger-review-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=13687","title":{"rendered":"Epic Burger Review Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cooling my heels on a frosty downtown Chicago day, I bumped into Epic Burger, started in 2008 and now with eight Chicagoland locations. \u00a0A straightforward, <a href=\"http:\/\/epicburger.com\/#\/locations\/west-loop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">simplified menu,<\/a> namely, a burger, a chicken sammie, turkey burger, portobello burger, fries, salad, snakes and fountain drinks, period.<\/p>\n<p>The emphasis is on quality ingredients, humanely raised, hormone free, and their beef supplier is Creekstone Farms of Kansas, which I personally believe now deserves the crown of the best burger supplier in America, bar none.<\/p>\n<p>You can add a choice of three different Wisconsin cheeses, nitrate free bacon, and condiments of your choice. \u00a0Fresh cut thick fries with sea salt are available solo or in a combo.<\/p>\n<p>Buns are baked fresh daily, the establishment uses real butter, cage free eggs, and the burger produce tastes like you grew it yourself.<\/p>\n<p>The patties are amply-sized, have a nice little char crust and are obviously (note pic) hand-formed.<\/p>\n<p>This is a real winner, as evidenced not only by my smile and warm belly, but by the company&#8217;s acceptance leading to its growth. \u00a0Great burger, great fries, great value.<\/p>\n<p>Try one. \u00a0Or a double.
