{"id":11365,"date":"2014-04-17T08:45:57","date_gmt":"2014-04-17T15:45:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=11365"},"modified":"2014-04-17T08:45:57","modified_gmt":"2014-04-17T15:45:57","slug":"smashed-burger-recipe-method","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=11365","title":{"rendered":"Smashed Burger Recipe and Method"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you&#8217;re a fan of smashed burgers, with a nice char crust, whether your favorites come from Smashburger, Shake Shack, Fatburger, or other joints, here&#8217;s a fairly faithful reproduction. \u00a0Now you can make &#8217;em at home!<\/p>\n<p>Divide one pound of quality 85\/15 into five balls, each will be slightly over 3 ounces.<\/p>\n<p>Preheat a cast iron skillet or griddle until it is &#8216;smokin&#8217; hot.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Salt and pepper the balls and drop onto the skillet for one minute.<\/p>\n<p>After the minute, flip and smash, cooking for another minute.<\/p>\n<p>Flip and cook for one more minute, and you&#8217;re done.<\/p>\n<p>Eat.
