{"id":11248,"date":"2014-04-09T08:20:14","date_gmt":"2014-04-09T15:20:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/?p=11248"},"modified":"2014-04-09T08:20:14","modified_gmt":"2014-04-09T15:20:14","slug":"theos-pizza-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.peterstromquist.com\/?p=11248","title":{"rendered":"New Orleans &#8211; Theos Pizza Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/theos-Copy.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-11250 alignleft\" alt=\"Theos Pizza New Orleans Review\" src=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/theos-Copy-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>For the nearly ten years I lived in New Orleans, it was a city full of bad pizza and bad burgers; today it has its fair share of good outlets for both, and is the birthplace of one of America&#8217;s fastest growing pizza chains (which is awful, and I won&#8217;t bother to stop by and review). \u00a0In fact, my favorite pizza during my tenure was served at a <a href=\"http:\/\/burgersdogspizza.com\/2012\/06\/orleans-la-bucktown-ro-seafood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">local seafood restaurant<\/a> in the &#8216;burbs.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s occasion for venturing out in mid city was to grab a light repast within walking distance of BurgerDogDaughter&#8217;s domicile, and we sauntered into <a href=\"http:\/\/theospizza.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Theo&#8217;s<\/a>, a local mini-chain for pies and craft beers.<\/p>\n<p>Despite rather conventional ingredients and standard Baker&#8217;s Pride decks, Theo&#8217;s manages to churn out some really tasty pies; my daughter, knowing me as she does, ordered me a meat and olive combination. Her choice was the &#8220;Arti-Garlic&#8221;, which featured fresh garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, feta, peppers and mozzarella. \u00a0For a meat-centric guy like me, that was one good pie! \u00a0As was the meat one.
